FORMATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL COMPETENCES OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS OF SPECIALTY 208 «AGROENGINEERING» N THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIETY
Abstract
In the reviewed article, it is considered the views and research of the authors regarding formation of the necessary professional environmental competences among students of higher education in technical specialties, and in particular, an important emphasis is placed on the process of training specialists of specialty 208 «Agroengineering». The UN ECE Strategy notes that one of the important problems in the field of education for sustainable development in the countries of Eastern Europe is the «lack of satisfactory educational and methodological materials, non-use of opportunities of higher education and insufficient informativeness». This statement directs the authors to the process of forming a new consciousness among students of higher education in specialty 208 «Agroengineering» in the field of environmental protection through development and implementation of the educational manual «Aspects of Environmental Quality Management». The authors have established that in the preparation of higher education students, it is necessary to emphasize the importance of the role of ecology and to form an awareness of inseparability of interrelationships of all natural phenomena and economic activity, especially in the context of sustainable development of society. Besides, the main units of the educational manual will also make it possible to prepare environmentally conscious specialists of other technical specialties in accordance with the general and special competencies provided for in the program training results of the educational and professional programs at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education institutions according to the context of sustainable development of society.
