PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF AN EARLY CHILDREN EDUCATOR IN THE CONTEXT OF READINESS TO WORK IN A SENSORY-ENRICHED ENVIRONMENT OF A PRESCHOOL EDUCATION INSTITUTION
Abstract
The purpose of the article: to study the peculiarities of the professional competence of a teacher of early children who is ready to work in a sensory-enriched environment of a preschool education institution. The essence of the concepts «professional competence», «professional competence of an educator of early children» has been clarified. The terms «Early Childhood Development» (ECD), «Early Childhood Education and Care» (ECEC), «Early Childhood Care and Development» (ECCD), «International Standard Classification of Education» (ISCE) were analyzed. It was found that due to the importance of early childhood education, the European Commission initiated the adaptation of SELFIEforTEACHERS for early childhood education and care as an online tool that helps teachers to determine the level of digital competence, to improve it and to respond to the specific needs of young children in a digital context . An important place in the research is given to the professional habit, focused on the development of students' identity within different professional cultures (child care, medical research). It has been proven that the future educator faces the task of mastering professional pedagogical competence, which covers a number of varieties. The most significant components of professional competence are determined: emotional, cognitive and communicative. The specified components of the professional competence of a future educator, ready to work with early children in a sensory-enriched environment, are considered in detail. It was found that the main innovative principle of training organization is the competence approach, which involves the development of the competences of future educators of early children, able to facilitate their entry into professional life and ensure speed and adaptability to any changes.
