BUSINESS EDUCATION IN THE SYSTEM OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF TOP-MANAGERS OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
There has been revealed that one of the forms of non-formal education of top managers is business education. That is related to the knowledge development for solving problems of companies in the field of management functions, management reserve and top management training, the international companies often give business schools for outsourcing. The term «business education» is analyzed: as a certain set of structured and systematized knowledge; as a system of educational institutions, whose activities are aimed at training and retraining of the business sector specialists; as training staff for the business sector
Conceptually, business education is defined as a component of vocational education, which is aimed at satisfying the needs of the individual, group, society and the state. Separation of business education in a special component is provided by the formation of a wider range of not only professional but also business skills. In business education, besides training entrepreneurship and business standards, much attention is drawn to the development of leadership and business research. Important components of a specialist training in business education are: general, legal, professional, psychological and pedagogical, economic training, management education and self-management. At the same time, both specific aspects related to the management of the company and personal issues are considered.
It is proved that the main objective of business education is the formation of professionals’ skills and competence, which allow creating original business proposals that are highly valued by consumers and provide the ability to get ahead of competitors for the long term. In business education, the modern technologies and teaching methods focused on the practical orientation of education are used. Basically, these training programs are aimed at professionals who already have a higher education institution diploma, hold managerial positions and, at the same time, try to enhance their professional outlook.
