Abstract

The authors substantiate the relevance of the researched problem. The authors discuss the main tendencies in the European education system development within the scope of adult education; consider the propositions from the European countries concerning the scientific tourism programs; determine the modern state and possibilities of the scientific tourism in the process of professional improvement of the pedagogical universities’ teachers; they outlined the perspectives of involving the foreign colleagues in scientific tourism programs on the basis of the Ukrainian educational institutions.

The authors also state that for effective training the pedagogical universities’ teachers must be familiarized with the progressive experience of the future teachers’ training in the European Union. The scientific tourism has been declared one of the most effective forms of the European experience study. The authors emphasize on the fact that the new information, knowledge, and skills, obtained during the scientific tours, must be actively used by pedagogical university teachers in their further practical professional activities. Therefore the use of the European experience will significantly accelerate the move of the Ukrainian pedagogical education towards the European standards.

It has been concluded that a considerable number of measures and steps must be undertaken as an adequate response to the world trend of students’ and teachers’ academic migration, and for attracting the representatives of other international scientific communities to the Ukrainian higher educational institutions. The main task is to conduct numerous promotional events presenting our scientific and educational achievements. It is also necessary to develop the infrastructure and encourage the activities of institutes, universities, research centers, aimed at educational and scientific international cooperation.

Key words: adult education, international cooperation, higher education establishments, pedagogical university, professionalism improvement, scientific tourism.
