DISSIMINATION OF DISTANCE LEARNING FORMS IN THE NON-FORMAL EDUCATION OF YOUTH AND ADULTS

Abstract

The author substantiates the relevance of the researched problem. The author has found out that introduction of information and communication technologies into the education system leads to the necessity of a fundamental revision of approaches to the training organization. In this context, it is indispensable to study the possibilities of distance learning. The existing distance learning centers can be divided into three groups according to the degree of immersion in the Internet. The first, largest group is represented by educational institutions that combine different traditional forms of full-time and distance learning with innovations in the spirit of time. The second group includes institutions and organizations for which the Internet serves only as an internal communication medium, called the Intranet, which is usually a private corporate network. The third group includes training centers, the work of which is based solely on the Internet technologies. There have been analyzed the content of online programs and online courses on the examples of educational service providers offering distance-based online learning platforms for different categories of Ukrainian population.

The conducted analysis revealed the following advantages of online learning such as: absence of time and territorial restrictions; using several means of communication simultaneously; an opportunity to contact the teacher on time and ask questions, get advice; continuous monitoring of the learning activities of the trainees by the teacher since the automated system provides a very detailed and almost constant analysis of the distance acquired knowledge.
