IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONTENT OF FUTURE OFFICERS’ PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN HIGHER MILITARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The review article analyzes the peculiarities of the future officer’s professional training in the higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. There has been emphasized on the need to improve the content of professional disciplines by enriching the themes of educational and work programs; developing the problem-based content modules, lectures, seminars and practical classes, programs of introductory practice and internships; use of interactive forms of cognitive activity (lecture-discussion, binary lecture, role-playing games, conducting video lectures); organization of educational activities (meetings with servicemen and management staff); conducting trainings (communicative, on pedagogical skills); use of various methods (projects, brainstorming, discussion, professionally oriented situations, workshops, etc.); organization of seminars for teachers of professional disciplines on the problems of experience of managerial culture of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine and abroad.
The authors prove that improving the content of cadets’ professional training in the higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in order to develop readiness for management should be based on the professional development values and the main ideas of leading methodological approaches (activity, personality, cultural, systemic, competence approaches).
It is emphasized that at the present stage of law enforcement development, there is being mainstreamed the need to train a mobile specialist capable of lifelong learning, endowed with a positive attitude to their profession and the desire for continuous personal and professional self-development as well as understanding of professional functions, ability to perform them at a high professional level and development of one's own morality, intellect, empathy, culture, which is the basis of effective managerial activity.
