ORGANIZATIONAL AND CONTENT ASPECTS OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ADULT EDUCATION SYSTEM IN CANADA

Abstract

The author substantiates the urgency of adult education problems under modern socio-economic conditions. The article states that the specificity and distinction of the adult education system in Canada is determined by the historical and national peculiarities of the state's development, as well as socio-economic factors, among which the development of the social security system takes the lead. It is shown that its system-forming factor is the social and personal educational needs of citizens, society and state; it turns out that Canada does not have a single education system, since under the Constitution every province independently decides on the issue of education, in general, and adult education, in particular, taking into account the cultural, historical, and economic characteristics of the province; it is found that adult education system in Canada stands elaborated legal and regulatory, theoretical and methodological basis, branching organizational structure, state funding, humanistic orientation approaches, principles and goals of adult education.
