NON-FORMAL EDUCATION: OPPORTUNITIES FOR MANAGERS' OF ORGANISATION PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This review article is devoted to the theoretical analysis of certain features of the professional development of managers of organizations in the context of non-formal education. The relevance of the issue raised is substantiated. Non-formal education is considered by the author as an important tool for forming and improving the competencies of the target group that is necessary for effective functioning both in favorable conditions and in times of instability and uncertainty. It has been proven that non-formal learning methods are the most effective for developing soft skills, such as emotional intelligence, stress resistance, flexibility, communication, and non-standard thinking, as well as for improving professional research competencies, which are the basis for strategic analysis. Special attention is paid to the role of corporate training. The positive impact of mentoring and coaching on the development of professional competence of managers of organizations and the effectiveness of their work is considered. The activities of individual providers of educational services that train managers of organizations in non-formal education are characterized. The recommendations are provided to ensure the effectiveness of professional development of managers of organizations in the context of non-formal education. The implementation of these recommendations will create an environment in which representatives of the target group will be able to simultaneously perform the roles of students, mentors, coaches, etc., enable the synchronization of andragogical principles of training managers of organizations with corporate development strategies, and contribute to the formation of a culture of lifelong learning. The conclusions state that non-formal educational practices serve as a driver for the professional development of managers of organizations, in particular, based on the models of «experience-based learning» and «learning-action-evaluation» and enable the development of competencies in the context of real management challenges, which is embodied in personalized professional growth trajectories.
