MODEL OF LEARNING REGIONS’ DEVELOPMENT AND TRAJECTORIES OF ITS REALIZATION
Abstract
The article presents the brief history of the formation and development of learing regions’ foundation and development as a reflective reaction to socio-economic contemporary chalenges. Theoretical approaches to the determination of basic definitions have been set out. Western scientists’ generalizations about the role of the learning regions in an institutional infrastructure have been presented. The common understanding of learning regions as a regional innovative strategy has been offered, in which all its subjects are firmly but at the same time extremely flexibly interconnected. It provides adaptation to the numerous specific contexts. The roles of three disciplinary fields (regional learning, clusters and networks, institutes of innovations) have been grounded; their interaction can be considered as the certain model having its own development trajectory.
